Want to speak at our online event during the Freelance Business Month?
It's official: we're doing our first-ever event and we want you to join in.
Hi Friendly Freelancers,
October has arrived and that means working from home with the heater on and a steaming cup of coffee next to your laptop, while rain drops trickle down the window.
October is also the month that The Friendly Freelancer will participate in the Freelance Business Month, an initiative that wants to connect freelancers across Europe. The month-long programme is packed with online talks and workshops aimed at sharing ideas, knowledge and skills that can help us raise our freelance game.
The Friendly Freelancer is also joining in on the fun. On October 20th at 11:00 CET, the two of us will interview each other about freelancing during a pandemic. Because as cosy as freelancing from home during the autumn months might sound, we know that working from home can also be challenging. Especially during a global health crisis. It’s why we want to share want we learned about freelancing over the past few months. We’ll explain how simple tools like tomato timers and pitch trackers raised our productivity and spirits, and unveil how we managed to find new assignments and fresh ideas during this challenging period.
You can sign up for our session for free by going to the Freelance Business Month website and we hope to (virtually) see many of you! Better yet, we want also want to hear from you. It’s why we scheduled some time (2 x 5 minutes) for two readers to also briefly speak at our online event. This is your opportunity to tell other freelancers what you learned over the last few months and how it’s changed how you approach freelancing today. Both new and seasoned freelancers welcome! Plus, if you’ve never participated in an online networking event before, this is a good opportunity to do so.
Send an email to freelancerthefriendly@gmail.com if you would like to speak during our Freelance Business Month session or if you have any questions.
We’ll be back next week with our usual newsletter.
See you October 20th!
